I am also making a ceramic 'fossil' (Brief: make a fossil, real or imagined). This is for the Cambrian Bridge in Loughborough Junction. Making a bridge that is ugly, beautiful. And because it is on Cambrian Road - Fossils of course! I love fossils so am enjoying the challenge of working with ceramics. I have made the mold and am making some text pieces for working out glazes etc.
Musings on our connection with nature, sometimes. Monotypes, drawings, collographs, collage at other times. Particularly keen on dandelions. "Simple and fresh and fair, from Winter's close emerging" (Walt Whitman). Wildflowers. Garden. Allotment. Lovely places.

Jazz, fossils, open studios, lists.
Well here I am, listening to Jazz FM http://jzz.live.mediaspanonline.com/player/ which cheers me up in the morning (apart from the adverts, which are repetitive and silly!). The music is good though. I am singing along whilst framing some small monotypes. It's that time when I have to remember what the titles of my works are. Also have to make some up, if I haven't titled them during making them. I need to make a list.
