I am trying to have the nerve to leave space. Went to see Miro last week and was very impressed with the feeling of space within his paintings, especially the large ones.
Musings on our connection with nature, sometimes. Monotypes, drawings, collographs, collage at other times. Particularly keen on dandelions. "Simple and fresh and fair, from Winter's close emerging" (Walt Whitman). Wildflowers. Garden. Allotment. Lovely places.

New Work and I still can't load a slide show!
I have been working on some new monoprints and feel good. Still inspired by scientific collections, natural forms and geometric shapes. "If you can paint a leaf, you can paint the world" so says Ruskin. During my recent research I have become interested in looking at the flowers through a magnifying glass and looking inside the plant. I love the detail, and suppose I should read a botanical/biological discourse.
